Model 16 Question

Hi There. I am currently thinking of picking up the Model 16 interface/mixer. I was wondering if the eq and compression on the board changes the audio sent to my daw (ableton). Does it color the audio pushed to the DAW or does it only send the clean signal, or both? Still just beginning to learn alot right now. Would really appreciate any thoughts.

When sending the signal into your DAW, compression can be recorded; EQ and effects are not. Those can be applied in the mixing process (when you send the recorded sound out of the DAW back into the mixer). Does that help?
