TASCAM Model 16
Hi! I'm using this TASCAM Model 16 for sound mixing for a show coming up. It works great for mixing the live sound and running the output to the speakers for Front of house sound! However, I'm curious if it can also simultaneously record the show. I'm led to believe it can, but I'm not sure exactly how. I have a Zoom recorder that I could use, a couple of different types of DAW's I could send it to, or maybe use the SD. What would be the best way to record the performance but still make sure it outputs to the front of house speakers?

Dear @kademiller,
there is a chance you got the Model 16 without its Owner's Manual, so to get you started just put an SD card and use the format option in the menu.
Adjust levels for the audition then press the record button* under the LCD when the show starts; press the stop button at the end. Pay attention to LCD activity, absolutely wait the spinning wheel to stop before shutting down the Model or the recorded session will be lost.
Manuals are better read before operation, I suggest you to download the PDF version from the Tascam website and keep it on your phone for emergency.

*= in case you wish to record individual tracks too, remember to "arm" the REC button on each mixer channel before starting the recording.
