Hi, I'm new in town and I just get my model 24 today. yea.
The firmware it came with is v1.50 0082. I'm looking at the release notes for v1.6 and it makes the songs it records "read only", saying so that a DAW can't change them. I don't know that I want that. I don't really plan on using it with a DAW. If I were to, I would probably try to just take the card over to a computer and transfer the files manually, or hand it to someone who actually likes mixing. If anything this update might discourage this way of working (and I just got it, so it's really just a way of thinking about working)
The other change I see from 1.5 to 1.6 is to work with two-channel windows programs like OBS. That could be cool but I don't have a need for that.
Am I misunderstanding something, is there more to the firmware update than I see or can I put it off for now?
