Monitoring effects only question on DP-24

I'm just learning how to use my new DP-24 and have a basic effects question.

How can I use apply internal effects while recording for monitoring purposes only? For example, I'd like to be able to hear reverb while recording vocals without recording the effect. Is that possible--if so how?

Just a stab in the dark, record with the effects on, then during playback or mastering, turn them off.
