Hi, I am trying to set up a small studio using some good older equipment. Here's what I'm planning to use:
-PC Computer
-Tascam TM-D8000
-Tascam DA-88 (Qty 2) - might not use
-MOTU 828 (Qty 2)
-MOTU MIDI Timepiece II
-Various sound modules, reverbs, effects and compressors, etc...
I'm wondering if the two MOTU 828's can be linked together for a total of 16 inputs & outputs to and from the PC. I'd like to be able to record 16 tracks into my PC "DAW" in a session. Then, play the tracks from the PC back through the TM-D8000 for analog mixing.
I've searched these forums for answers but was unable to find one. I love the authentic sound of analog and want to keep this equipment alive for my future recordings.
Can two MOTO 828's be linked together for more in/ouputs? Is a firewire hub or some other piece of equipment needed to achieve this?
Thanks to anyone that takes the time to read this and/or offer an answer!
