MX2424
Hello all,

I've got an MX2424 that I recorded a mobile session to (and got paid), but now that it's time to edit it won't play back any audio.

When turning machine on:
Boot process as normal
The drive mounts as normal

Upon pressing play:
The counter rolls time.
The Disk Indicator light does NOT light.
I do NOT hear the disk spin up.
No audio level on the meter.
No audio at the outputs.

I've tried reseating the scsi connectors and the power plugs.
I've tried from multiple location points.
I've checked all the status modes and such.

At the moment I'm trying to install MXView on an old PowerPC

Anyone else ever have this happen?
Is there a fix?

Thanks for any help!
Lou

Oh man, all that time I spent chasing after this and that's all that was wrong. Thanks witzendoz!
While I did check to see that it was on the right project, I didn't know it had to be "loaded". I ASSumed that since it was the only project, it would default to it.

When you have MX view connected, it all becomes obvious, the project screen shows a list of projects, and if you go to the main screen you can see that there is no audio in the project if you don't have one mounted. I find it hard to use the MX2424 without MX view, much easier to use and a whole new world of functions.

There are good threads on this forum about getting MX view to work.

That's what I was spending all that time doing, trying to get MX view to run on the oldest computers available to me. They aren't old enough to run OS9 natively, so I tried Sheepshaver. That can only run up to OS9.0.4 or something. MX view needs OS9.1.
I see an old laptop in my future if I continue using the MX2424.

Thanks again for your reply, Alan!
