I have been viewing the site with interest and thought it is time I joined so HELLO from me! 
I live in the south of the U.K and have been a guitarist for many years, (too many to mention
)
Ive had various home studios and in the current incarnation I use a Tascam 2488 neo. I was nearly put off digital porta studio's as I bought a Boss BR1600 which, although worked very well, it was a nightmare to learn to use. It had a manual on the manual, and then a dvd to show what the manuals meant!!!!
Within hours of owning the Tascam, I was recording with it, marvelous! As far as instruments go, I have a Les paul standard, Fender bass, much modified Alesis DM10 E.drum kit, Roland Juno Di keyboard, Tenor and Alto sax. Monitors are KRK RoKit 8's with 10" sub-woofer and various effects pedals etc.
