New Partition

Hello Everyone,
It's been a while. I have one of the original 2488's. Would someone tell me if it is possible to create a new (2nd)partition? If it is, how do you do it? Also, can you take the data disks used to back up the songs from the original partition and place the data onto the new partition?

Hi Jim,

I believe that you can only create partitions by doing a disk format. This means anything on the disk will be deleted! Check the manual pg 66 (original 2488)

But the answer to your other question is Yes - you can reload a back up to a new partition.
