Nothing comes out of the main outputs without turning on the effects - Tascam Model 24

Hi, my name is David and I recently bought the Tascam Model 24, because I want to record a live demo with my band.
I have a problem, I wanted to practice drums to a track, therefore I need the track to come out of the monitors in the rehearsal room, wich are connected to the main outputs, but nothing comes out of the mains except when I turn on the effects (although it‘s shown that there is signal on the screen of the tascam).
I searched everywhere, but couldn’t find any solution, that’s why I‘m asking here, hope that someone can give me some advice how to solve this, thanks for any help in advance

Welcome to the forum. It's not clear if you wish to listen live or recorded signal, either case you have to select the desired source with the MODE switch and assign the channel to Main Mix.
