Hello everyone.
I never do covers - I spent too much money at school to just play other people's music.
BUT!
I had this student who you will see in this video that just sang this song one day (into the eraser in the classroom) like a champ and I like the song a lot. SO we did this funny cover. You can hear the gorgeous sonic beauty that is the DM4800. Details:
No MIDI - at all. All the music you hear is in real time. She triggered everything from the Korg padKontrol into the Korg Kronos. It's all wave audio.
All I did is play guitar, and some of the mixing with her. What you see is what you hear. Big difference.
Guitars went through a Tech 21 FlyRig5 and the AVID Eleven Rack
I did some automation in Pro Tools 11, but I love using the automation in the console, as well as the eq and compressors. AND - I used the TC reverb in the console on the lead vocals.
