Hello,

I've been using the forum for a several months now, but haven't yet introduced myself.

I started my recording journey circa 1985 on a PortaOne. (I wish I still had it!). By 1990 I was working and making my living working at a 24 track format professional NYC studio, and dableing in various alternative formats recording home band demos (DAT to DAT sound on sound, midi, much more). By 2000 I downsized to smaller US markets, part time engineering work, and by 2007 had basically left the industry for other interests. In 2020 I got the bug again, retrieved my equipment (including my MS-16 tape machine) from various storage lockers, and built a one room project studio to keep busy during the c19 pandemic. About 2 years ago, I build another small project room, and bought some needed gear with the goal of a (nearly!) all analog room. I do have my DP-24 fully wired in, and will use that as needed, and to mix to, as convenience and economy dictates. Most of my gear is 80s-90s pro-sumer stuff, but adequately maintained and dialed in, fully wired, and sounding fairly pro, if I must say so myself.

One also might call me a Tascam devotee, of sorts. My list of current Tascam gear follows, including the PortaOne, for nostagia sake:
