Hi...I have a pair of passive speakers that I want to use with my US-1800. What do I need to make them sound loud enough? Right now they sound too low......any help will be appreciated...thanks in advance!

Some sort of powered amplifier, appropriate wattage for the speakers. You might be able to find an older one pretty cheap at a thrift store or Goodwill, if you're not overly concerned about sound coloration. I see this thing recommended frequently on music forums, but have no experience with it myself: http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-LP-2020A-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0049P6OTI/

Thanks a lot goodflow....I'll check that out!!

I don't think buying some old junk will be the answer and often times they need repair. I have a business built on that.
Emotiva makes some nice amps. Crown used to be the king of amps like the D-75 but I don't think they are making them anymore. If you want something cheap you could try one of these.

I am no fan of China amps but if you want cheap this might do. A client that I help now and then at his home uses one of these and surprisingly it has lasted a while and he uses it a lot.

Thanks a lot SkywaveTDR ...I will definitely check it out.....
