Portcaputure X8 file ouput problems

I am trying to record files with two separate audio tracks.

I have two XLR mics plugged into outputs 3 and 4.

The files are not linked on the digital interface and I can see they are monitored separately - from the levels. But when I download them, the mix file is mono, with the two tracks mixed into one.

Is there a setting for file output that I am missing?

Welcome to the forum marc. Hope someone can provide the answer. I don't have one of these but have you checked the reference manual (as opposed to the user manual); it has a section on page 66 called 'Exchanging files with computers' where it suggests that individual track transfers are possible.

Have you checked in the settings for a mono v stereo recording setting. There should be mono setting given the x8 name. You may have to use manual mode instead of the launchpad presets.

Each file should be created with an optional mix file if you choose to mixdown on the device.
