Problem Setting up Firewire with Windows 8

Recently I'v purchased Windows 8 Pro and started setting/installing up all stuff..

Previously in Win 7 i faced an issue of glitches which was solved by the "Legacy driver" as suggested by this forum member ..Thanks

Now Windows 8 doesn't have this "Legacy" driver anymore for Firewire cards ...

Is there a way to get over the glitches without the Legacy driver(since its been stopped by Microsoft?)

Someone else here has setup ProTools 10 with Windows 8 and it appearently works. I can't remember who that was. That person posted about it about a month ago.

was that with Tascam's 32 in/out IF-FW/DM mkII card ??? coz thats the one giving problem coz it needs "legacy" driver ..
