I have had my Tascam for about ten years now, so it's definitely not new and i've used it quite a bit since i got it. I recently started to have issues with the buttons not working sometimes. So i took it apart and fixed the ones in question. Problem is i can't get the top cover to line up with the board that has the on it and i'm wondering if i could just take on all the plastic buttons and just use something to press down on the contact pad, which is what the plastic buttons do? I have pulled off most of my recordings of the unit but still had several on there that i havent gotten off. I know it won't last forever, so do any of you guys think i can just make do by taking of the buttons until i finish pulling of the rest of my recording?
