Record direct and amped guitar signal by Model 12

Greetings!

I've just bought Model 12 and trying to figure out if it's possible to record two tracks simultaneously

• A guitar through amp and cabinet simulator and
• Same guitar's direct signal to allow sound engineer to reamp it in the future if needed

Something like to plug a guitar to input 1 of Model 12, record it. Then split/send it to input 2 of Model 12, plug it to the amp's input, then to cab sim and finally back to input 3 and record.

Is it possible or DI box is the only solution?

If the original signal is on Track 1 you can use an Aux bus and send it out to whatever you want.
