Recording phone calls with Tascam DR-05X

Hello,

I'm a journalist, and bought a TASCAM DR-05X for work. However, when I record mobile phone calls, the recording is full of buzzing. What should I do?

My old Sony recorder was basic, but had no problems recording phone conversations.

how are you doing it?

what input type are you using ie instrument, line level etc

what cable are you using and have you tested it elsewhere or tried a new cable?

what gain settings are you using?

this will help someone to trouble shoot better
