DR05
Hi - I have a DR-05 and just bought an Amazon basics SD card, 128GB. When I start up it asks I want to format it and after I hit enter it then brings up the message ‘invalid card- change card’

any thoughts???

thanks

Andrew

  • You SHOULD use a card that is on the above-mentioned "tested/approved card list" (particularly as it pertains to brand - you can hardly go wrong with a SanDisk Extreme)
  • You MUST use a card that is within the design limits of your '05X.
And it never hurts to read your manual - particularly when you have a problem...despite O/M's typically being about as useful/effective as the US Congress...;)

PS - "welcome to the forum"?

Welcome to the forum Andrew. Can't add much to the above, but from Tascam's website, it seems there's a DR-05X model which can handle up to 128GB, but the DR-05 only goes up to 32GB. If you don't have the 'X' model, you may be able to exchange/refund your 128GB card. Good luck.
