SD card / song swapping between different models (16,24)

Can I build a song up on one machine (Model 24) and then take the card out and transfer it to another (Model 16)?
I have a small studio in my house with my synths and amps, but I cannot fit drums in here. I want to either start or end with drums and not have to move the mixer.
