Hi. Smoke started coming out the top / back of my 52. shortly after I powered it up. I was threading a tape, and was rotating the supply reel which seemed unusually stiff. I opened it up and found this:

Burnt capacitor, which I assume is there to provide some spike protection. I'm in a 240 volt AC country, yet this cap was rated at 125v AC, which doesn't seem right. I think I'll have to consult a professional on this since I'm wary of mucking around with mains power, but any comments to help me understand the issue would be good. What should I be looking at as a replacement. Is a Metal Oxide Varistor a better bet? There's actually two caps on the switch. The large one is 125vAC @ 0.047uf; the other is smaller, same voltage but 4700 something - the label is damaged. Probably 4700pf.
