Hi, I've had my Tascam DP008 for over a year now and the good news is that I've written and recorded over 50 songs using this equipment!
I have been recording my music on and off on various equipment (Fostex 4 track, 4 track reel to reel, cassette)
but have rarely been able to get the quality that I hear on the headphones to come through in the final copy, even with my current recording equipment (the Tascam DP008).
I am currently using Audacity software on my laptop to transfer and master the songs.
I also have am M-Audio box that I could use in the transfer, if that would be of any help.
It is just such a shame since many of my songs are detailed multi-layered material and so much gets lost in the transfer. Any ideas? I know I must be missing something! Thanks guys.
