I hope y'all can help me out. Been obsessing about this...

Can I sync a drum machine (Boss DR770) via midi cables to the DP32? My goal is to make sure that click tracks (on the DP32) align with drum loops (from the Boss DR770). You see, the DP32 and DR770 have imperfectly aligned clocks. They are microseconds off and that can spell trouble for a recording lasting more than a minute or so. I've suffered this in the past.

I've been recording off of a Zoom R8. Great box. That it has an onboard drum machine and that makes things a lot easier.

FYI, yes, I have done the obvious: record a click track from drum machine onto the DP32.

So, what do y'all do to keep things synced and in time?

Would really appreciate hearing from you.

i don't have a dp-32......instead a 2488......basically make the dr770 the slave and the recorder is the master. put the dr770 on midi....as for the recorder in the global setting you need to set the tempo and set the timecode to clock...
With the 2488 you had told the stop and rew at the sametime and the new tempo would be displayed

Give it a try....hopefully it shouldn't be too different.
