Tascam 122 Mk III deck transport processor reset

Hello all,
I had discovered some time back even though this is never documented anywhere that the 122 Mk III can be set tot he wrong mode of operation because the same IC is used in the 112 R deck that has a reverse direction. I can recall the pressing of the tact switch in the deck in some way to correct that. Well now it has been a while and I am still looking for an answer as presently I am unable to get the right reel table to take up tape as the left one has drive in play mode. Both fast winds work well. Does anyone have the documentation about this- apparently it is another of their secrets.

Just a follow up to let people know the answer that was found. The deck can get into the wrong mode so a dB25 connector was used and a tact switch was soldered to pins 23 (Ground) and pin 1 Play and then a command was issued and this external command caused the processor to correct it's mode. Thereafter the machine was in the correct mode all the time.
