tascam 244 hiss problem

hello,

i've just got my tascam 244 from repair and everything works well except for one thing. when i turn it on with my earphones on as well there's this hiss sound. i should say that nothing except for the earphones is connected to the 244. all is off all faders are down. it's like i can hear the engine running or something.

any solution to that?
