Tascam 424 mki won't output audio after running for a long time

Hey y'all, I'm very new to tascam machines. I tried to erase some old tapes with music on them by recording over all of it on my tascam 424mki, but after finishing a lot of it and rewinding back it doesn't produce sound. I changed that cassette for another one, but still no noise. I've tried all monitor, fader, and trim options. Any repair tips would be greatly appreciated, I'd hate to stop my analog journey early.
