Tascam 688 - Weird noise and tape stops

Hallo there,
I just registered to this forum because I have a problem with my Tascam 688 and i hope that somebody can help me fix it.

The Tascam 688 makes a weird humming noise when turned on - and the tape slows down and stops after I hit play. I made a video of it:

I would like to repair it of course
Do I just need a new capstan belt or actually a new motor?
Or is something else broken?

Hey.. Hard to say on that but there is a guy on youtube (might even be on here..) named Tetrakan Supermonobloc. He does tear downs of alot of portastudios and they are beyond helpfull. I would watch the 688 one if its there and have a look around, and at the transport mostly. Might be a belt or a gear/motor..

Thank you, I fixed it yesterday with the help of this video:

I just needed to replace the capstan belt
