I’m new here. I’m also pretty new to this kind of equipment. I recently bought a non-working 688 for cheap in hopes of repairing it. It wouldn’t play or record when I bought it. I changed the capstan belt and it now plays. I’ve learned about the scene selection and all of that. I followed the manual to test record. But nothing records to the tape. Everything on the mixer side seems to be working and everything else on the tape side seems to work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
