Tascam DP-02cf

Hi, I just bought a DP-02CF and we are having some problems . When I plug a guitar in "A" or "B" jack I can record on track #1 and play it back, then I can record on track #2 and play back and hear both tracks , but when I try to record on track #3 or higher it doesnt record! When I strum guitar the display shows the sound bar moving. We don't see what we are missing??
We simply wanted to record lead on track #1, bass on #2 and electric drums on #3 but guess we're missing something???

You have to assign the inputs to the tracks-it's in the manual

I did assigni ! otherwise i couldnt record on track 1 then record on track 2! when i assign 3or4 so on it doesnt record.
