Hi. VERY new to this so any help or guidance will be much appreciated!
I bought 2 x Tascam DR10-L Pro units to record interviews for an unpaid family history/charity themed video. Both show firmware as V1.00 BO61.
I followed page 1 of the 2 page firmware update instructions no problem.
However, on page 2 in UPDATE MODE, it doesn't show the Tascam model number as it should in the example given on the right of the image below:
What it does show is er_100_312712. (with the full stop).
I presume this is the only part of the name that can be squeezed onto the screen of the decompressed/unzipped 31.4MB update file. I had transferred this to the 'Utility' folder on the unit as instructed.
That is as far as I get because the screen freezes and I cannot activate any buttons whatsoever. I waited ages to see if anything happened but it didn't. I wondered if I had a problematic unit, so I went through the procedure again with the other one. Same thing. Freezes!
I need this updated and fully working by the 04th January but I feel out of my depth.
Can anyone come to the rescue please?
