I just bought a Tascam DR-40 with Firmware 2.30 0122.
When I record a track manually no matter if via Line-in, external mic, or internal mics it is not possible so mute the recording. Even if the recording levels are set to 0!! And I do not set the auto record option. The levels can be lowered manually but not so that I do not record anything. Which is very strange.
My Marantz PMD-620 can mute the recording when levels are set to 0.
Is this a bug or what can I do to achieve this?
