I have a new New Tascam DR-40X with the latest firmware 44.103) updated. I have Lav MIC connected with Rode 1/8" to 1/4" adapter. When I choose Rec Mode 4CH, I could record voice from all 4 channels (2 Built-in and 2 External MIC).
But when I choose other recording modes like MONO, STEREO. DUAL and select source as EXT MIC L/R or EXT INDEPENDENT, etc no voice is recording and i cannot hear anything if i connect head et also.
But everything works perfect with Rec mode 4CH
