Tascam hs-p 82 Mac Compatible

I have a Tascam HS-P 82 (I think the serial number is: 0010095) and I have a macbook air, 11 inch running 10.8.3

I would like to use my mac to help run this product, as well as update it, and I have been having trouble installing the software.

After looking online, this product is supposed to work with OS 10.2 or higher, however I have not had much luck finding and resource or troubleshooting guides.

Does anyone know if this item will be compatible or if there are any tips/tricks out there to make these two device work together?

Connect USB cable
MENU -> CF/USB MANAGE
touch "USB CONNECT"
touch "OK" on the confirmation dialog.
CF1 and CF2 will show up on the Mac Desktop as drives, just like a card reader.

When finished -
eject the drives from the Mac desktop (drag to trash).
on the HS-P82, touch "CLOSE" to end the connection.

i.e. the HS-P82 has to be in "USB mode" for the Mac to see it.
