Yesterday we couldn't manage to update to the latest firmware version 1.41 using an SD card with the firmware on it.
Is it possible anyway?has that card to be formatted in a special way, and if so, is it writable in Windows?

Or are we required explicitely to use an USB cable, and that virtual drive appearing on the Windows side?
Just another question, we would need a male-to-male USB C cable then, wit an extra adapter to USB A male,
to connect the M12 to our computer?

I use a Sandisk SD card from the approved list and never had issues updating the firmware. If your card is an approved one you just have to format it in the Model 12, put it in your pc and transfer the new f/w file and then back to the Model 12. Be sure to follow the update instructions.

Thanks, we will try that, or othewise we will have that cable.

Hi There. Possibly WAAAAY too late to answer this question but I had the same issue and spent ages figuring it out. If it doesn't help you maybe it will help someone else in the same boat.

I definitely am not a computer person either so if my description sounds stupid this is why. Here's what I figured out over the past 2 hours.

Make sure you unzip the file after downloading it. That solution took about 45 minutes.
After unzipping open the folder and transfer its contents only NOT THE WHOLE FOLDER!

This took me the balance of the 2 hours to figure out as I kept transferring the entire unzipped folder across and the M12 couldn't read it's contents.

Also you don't need to put the SD into your PC to transfer the files onto it you can leave it in the M12. I've attached the instruction sheet for the whole process.

Again way late but hope it helps someone.
