my name is Michael and I am new to this forum.
I bought a Tascam Portacapture X6 for field recordings.
When setting up my device, I noticed that the display never turns off, even during long recordings.
In the ‘Power/Display’ menu, I found the “Lighting” option under ‘Power Saving Mode’, but this only seems to dim the lighting after a set period of time.
Is there no way to turn off the display or set an automatic shutdown (e.g. when it is not needed during long recordings)?
If the display stays on for hours without being needed, it consumes unnecessary power, which will eventually run out.
