TASCAM X8 SERIAL NUMBER DATE AND FW UPGRADE

Hi folks, just picked up a Tascam Portacapture X8.

I just upgraded it to the latest firmware. It was at 1.33 now its 2.01.

I'm now reading with alarm about the ultrasonic sound on higher bitrates. Uh oh. Was this firmware dependent, or build date dependent?

Serial number on the box is 2410093. Can we tell the date from that? As in 2024, October, the 9th, or the like?

@prenez, It's a handheld recorder similar to the DR-xx series and other types of handhelds, so perhaps it fits here?
