TM-D1000 stuck in diagnostic mode

I have a TM-D1000 which is stuck in diagnostic mode on power on. Any ideas how I could get out of that? When I try to test the buttons, the first button [shift] does not seem to be detected. Even after doing sram init it keeps coming back into the diagnostic mode.

It could be you have some bad switches or the machine "thinks" there are buttons down.You can remove the bottom, remove the battery, let it sit overnight,put the battery back in and try again
