I replied to a pre-existing thread about this problem. . .

and got a referral to this thread . . .

Both of these threads acknowledge my experience connecting my DM4800 to the computer that was previously connected to my DM3200 with full functionality. I get the splash screen and then nothing and the TMC service keeps running. I was never able to get anywhere with any of the advice.
Well, today I tried a few more things to get the DM4800 to work with TMC but had no luck. On a whim I decided to move the DM3200 close enough to reach a USB cable and see if it would still show up in TMC while the DM4800 was still connected. TMC launched fully and not only was the DM3200 available but so was the DM4800. I don't know why. I'm wondering what will happen if I disconnect the DM3200 while the TMC application is open and if now that it has successfully launched with the DM4800 connected if it will work from no on even without the DM3200. That would be handy. I don't necessarily have plans for the DM3200 so I guess I could use it as a crutch to launch the TMC software. Super excessive. And people think an ilok is bad, lol.
Cheers,
