two weird things happening

Hello, Ive noticed to od things happening with my DM4800 running windows 7 and Sonar X1, some of the returns or sends from the firewire card dont work such as at a session last nite couldnt get signal to the DAW from the firewire card ??? channel 2 all others worked fine ???? also Ive run into probs now with sync on timecode Sonar will lose sync and say waiting for 30FSC and I will have to hit ESC and then click in the sync box this all never happened before ??? any suggestions ???

I had this problem once: one of the FW channels was dead. Checked all routings, all cables, etc ... spent hours with no success ... and finally did a cold reboot of my studio: powered off everything (including DM and my DAW) and after switching everything back on everything was working again.
