For sure, wrong CF card will create problems when saving data on the card.
IT is not the problem of the shutdown but problem writing data on CD card. Remeber to always format the card on the DM. Better is to test it on a PC to certifiy that it is error free.
The card listed in the Appendix are working, tested and no issue. Must take care that recent card do not work even if you limit the size of the FAT 16 partition.
