US-16x08 True Mixer Bypass

Trying to find out information about the true mixer bypass. I am assuming that the settings on the settings panel would be disabled allowing the signal to go directly to my DAW (Samplitude Pro X3). Would this affect the latency for the better or worse? Have never used any the settings on the settings panel anyway.
