HI, thought before I made any decisions, I would stop in here and ask for your expertise. I am recording a lot of songs for my 6th Cd and am encountering a lot of problems using this interface with Reaper. I know it is a USB problem because we recorded the same song in my small studio computer in the cellar that uses Firewire and no problems whatsoever.
Now, TBH, this interface is really buggy with usb ports. Often you have to plug and unplug the usb connector when it starts acting up. I know it works using this method, but I am tired of trying to work around these snags when I am trying to lay down some tracks.
So, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can rectify this problem? Would getting a pci to usb 2.0 card get rid of some of the dropouts and small glitches with record and playback...as someone suggested this as usually it gets its own dedicated irq port, right? Well, will wait for your advice, appreciate it, any other suggestions also welcomed, psongman
