User defined layer for Cubase

Hello,

I've been trying for a long time now to get the meterbridge in REMOTE to work with my DAW: Cubase7

In this topic: User defined Layer manual
it seems that something like that is possible!, but can't make it work.
So has someone done this and would like to instruct me?

(Btw: I'm on an 8 core Mac/OSX 10.7.5/Cubase 7.02/DM3200/IFFWDMmkII/MU1000)
