Very frustrated - Can't record with stereo boom mic

This is very frustrating. I have never seen a product that is so devoid of instructions.

I have a Rode Stereo Boom mic. It works fine but has a 3.5mm plug. Just not on Tascam

I also have the DR-60MkII. It works fine with XLR connectors. But I have tried to use the 3.5mm connectors and can't get it to work. I have tried thebch 3-4 connector and changed the REC source to 3-4, and set gain to hi. ZERO audio seen on VU.

Q1: what are setting or problem might cause this?

Q2: How does one connect a stereo mic, without using the XLR with adapters? Shouldn't the 3-4 connector work?

Duh! I had the plugin power off. I thought that was for power to the dr-60? Guess not since as soon as I switched it on, the VU meter showed audio and it recorded fine

Never had to do that before. Apparently the other times I used the mic it was powered automatically.

You have the manual for that unit, right? Pg. 20 of the 90 page manual.
