Wav file record on SD

Hello,

Why the wav file is very low sound when recording directly on SD Card with mtr ?
The gain pre-amp level is correctly adjust.
I have the impression than the nativ wav Tascam is véry bad quality !!!
ps: I just acquired the console and this is my first recording

Have you a suggestions ?

Record a steady tone at -12dBFS on your Model 12. Port the recorded file into your computer D.A.W. The computer D.A.W. should show the same level when the file is played back.

If the computer shows something different, then it could be any number of reasons...too many to guess at, but almost always due to new user inexperience working with these TASCAM mixers. It's highly unlikely to be a problem with the mixer itself.

I suggest a "volume, wav" search on this forum to find options you can investigate to point you toward finding a solution in your particular situation.

I don't own one of these Model series mixers, so can't help further.

I test the "normalization" of each wav track to Audacity. It's really better.
