During the Quick Start Guides, I did hear all three of the song demos. But, after I had worked thru much of the recording lessons in the factory tutorial, the playbacks of the song demos are silent.
I did loop the songs back to 00:00. I did adjust the levels of the tracks. I did set the master volume to 3:00 o'clock but with no playback sound.
So, please tell me what I need to do to hear the playback on my four-month new TASCAM D-006 multitrack recorder. Thanks.
Note that I still have the four factory alkaline double AA batteries in use because as I see it, they still power all the functions graphics like open/load/play, the left/right meter bars, the visual playback, and (as I see it) should power the playback sound.
Can these used, mid-20th-century, alkaline batteries power the functions and graphics but not the audio?
