I own a music website for which we record interviews with musicians and/or music concerts goers.
We currently use a shotgun microphone connected to the DSLR or an iRig Mic connected to an iPhone to record the audio. This is still OK for casual interviews, but we need to step it up a notch on some sitting interviews.
I'm looking into buying the Tascam DR-40 recorder because of it's versatility of recording directly with it's integrated microphones and the ability to use external mics.
I currently own two Shure C606 mics which I plan to use with this recorder, one connected to each input, and I'm looking for a mono lapel/lavalier microphone which I can also use with this recorder, in one of three scenarios:
- Alone connected to one input
- Alongside with a Shure C600 on the other input
- Two lapel/lavalier microphones, each connected to one of the inputs
What do you recommend that is not too expensive for this scenario?
