16x08 Query

I picked the 16x08 as a solution for a small radio station I am assisting.

My intention is to have studio out L&R into XLR 1+2 linked in the Tascam panel. The broadcast will be listened to via a tuner which will input L&R into XLR 3+4 linked in the Tascam panel.

I then need industry standard dedicated recording software to be able to record 1+2 and a separate instance to record 3+4.

Windows only appears to show mic in and speakers - 2x options only. I expected a drop down of multiple options in the record box dictated by the settings in the Tascam panel but this is not the case.

Am I able to achieve this or do I need another product? I’ve walked away from it for now as it’s frustrating.

What you see in the Windows Sound Options is normal. What recording software will you be using? Generally, the recording software will show all of the 16x08's I/O's and let you switch the driver mode between ASIO/WASAPI/MME, etc.

This is what it looks like in Cakewalk by Bandlab, for example...
