2488, MKII, NEO Mods and repair

Good Lord...

Ever since the conversion was completed, the internal microphone for my talkback function has been humming like hell.
Before that, everything was fine.

So I just unscrewed it again. Shielded the talkback circuit board. Checked everything. Looks good.
Assembled: Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Then it dawned on me...
When I want to make music in Cubase and have my super cool LED lighting behind the monitors on, it whistles.
Maybe that's the problem?
So I quickly turned off the fader lighting and BAM... dead silence in the microphone.

What's causing this?
Well, the LED lighting behind my monitors and in my Tascam are RGB strips. You can change not only the color but also the brightness.
Brightness is adjusted by briefly turning the LEDs on and off for a certain time. It's basically pulse-width modulation.
That means different frequencies produce different brightness levels. And these frequencies cause a lot of interference on the cables inside!

Just a heads-up in case anyone is lining their hobby room with LED strips and is wondering why it's humming.
