2488 neo ATA to SATA module

Someone in Germany has a listed on eBay a genuine Tascam ATA to SATA conversion module.

I've never seen these sold as separates. I tried the same thing using a cheap module from
China, but it wouldn't always detect the HD reliably. So obviously, not all modules are compatible.

I bought this interface module from the guy on eBay and can verify it works perfectly. If you can find one I would recommend snagging it as they are extremely rare and hard to find.

Just noted on ebay that there is a source in Italy that currently has about 8 of the genuine Teac PATA to SATA modules for sale. If you have an older 2488Neo with an IDE drive installed and want to convert (you will still need proper firmware) this adapter is one that works!
