Folks, I just purchased a MX2424 to backup my ULN8 recording rig.
It sounds pretty good.
But at 96khz It goes a little strange:
I can record through analog board and through 2ch AES at 96khz.
Through AES board I can record 48khz, but not 96knz, when the ULN8 is connected.
I tried every possible clocking config. It seems that the MX2424 is jumping between 88 and 96,
as master and as slave.

Could that be a faulty AES board? Or any other ideas?

Thanks
Klaus

Hi, Now from the start I should point out that I have never done what you are doing, but I have a few suggestions, forgive me if I am telling you the obvious.

You know that the MX can only record 12 channels at 96K?
Are you using smpte in this setup? If so is the frame rate set correctly?
If you have the word clock setup correctly, is there a problem with the master/slave settings?
If the MX is a slave, you may need to press the "On Line" button.

Sorry if this is obvious stuff but I have found over the years that the information in the manuals is lacking in a lot of areas and usually there is something not obvious that you have to do to get stuff to work.
Alan.
